Nescot is in Ewell near Epsom in Surrey. We are a few minutes’ walk from Ewell East and Ewell West main line stations. Whilst we are close to both Epsom and South/West London students also benefit from a green and leafy campus. We’ve been providing Higher Education at Nescot for more than 60 years.
Sports Therapy at Nescot
The full-time Foundation Degree in Sports Therapy at Nescot College is a two-year course addressing the sport and fitness industry’s demand for professional treatment and rehabilitation of injured participants.
A Sports Therapist has the knowledge and skills to prevent injuries and optimise performance for a wide range of sports and exercise participants. They will also provide immediate treatment of injuries ‘pitch-side’. The course programme has been accredited by the Sports Therapy Organisation (STO), one of the governing bodies that accredit and regulate the discipline of sports therapy in the UK. This association with the STO allows our graduates to affiliate with this governing body upon successful completion of the Foundation Degree.
The second year of the Foundation Degree is designed to develop clinical knowledge and skills to effectively assess, diagnose and treat a range of sport and clinic based clients. This is all developed on top of the anatomy knowledge from year one.
The one year BSc Top-Up programme is specifically designed to provide Foundation graduates with a challenging curriculum that will develop their knowledge and clinical skills in preparation for employment in the sports industry. The programme also provides a Top-Up route for students who hold other relevant qualifications.
